East 8 Hold Up

Originally created by Kevin Armstrong, a bartender at London's Milk & Honey, we discovered The East 8 Hold Up in Steve the Bartender's Cocktail Guide. As the story goes, Kevin's friend was mugged with his pants down one evening while the two were returning home through the E8 area of London, which later gave inspiration to the drink. While we can't recommend getting caught with your pants down, we can definitely recommend giving this cocktail a shake. Pineapple and passion fruit meld together nicely while Aperol and vodka create a bittersweet balance.

Ingredients

• 1 ½ oz. Vodka
• ½ oz. Aperol
• ¾ oz. Pineapple Juice
• ½ oz. Lime Juice, freshly squeezed
• ½ oz. Simple Syrup
• 1 tsp. Passion Fruit Syrup

Directions

1. Shake all ingredients in a Hybrid Cocktail Shaker with ice for about 15 seconds.
2. Strain into an ice-filled Hybrid Cocktail Glass.
3. Garnish with mint and passion fruit (optional).
