End-Zoni

Super Bowl LIX is upon us and we have the perfect cocktail lined up for the big game: the End-zoni – our twist on the classic Enzoni created by Vincenzo Errico, which has been increasing in popularity for its unique blend of flavors and vibrant appearance.


Errico aimed to introduce the distinct flavor of Campari to a broader audience, creating a delightful bridge between classic cocktails like the Negroni and more accessible options for those wary of bitterness. We opted to top ours with a splash of Sparkling Pink Moscato, resulting in a less bitter and more approachable flavor profile. The subtle addition not only enhances the drink's effervescence but also complements the natural sweetness of the grapes.


Shaking up this drink also provided the perfect excuse to sample The Sassenach Wild Scottish Gin, created by Sam Heughan, best known for his role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander. Collaborating with distiller Craig Rankin, Sam crafted this London dry style gin using foraged botanicals from the Scottish region where he spent his youth. We found it as smooth and sophisticated as the actor himself, evoking images of Scotland's rolling hills and rugged coastline with every sip.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. The Sassenach Wild Scottish Gin 
  • 1 oz. Campari
  • ½ oz. Simple Syrup 
  • ¾ oz. Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
  • Seedless Green Grapes (for muddling and garnish)
  • Sparkling Pink Moscato (to top)

Directions

  1. Muddle the grapes in a Hybrid Cocktail Glass until broken up and juicy. Add ice and set aside.
  2. Add ice to a Hybrid Cocktail Shaker and measure in the gin, Campari, simple syrup and lemon juice.
  3. Shake for 15-20 seconds and strain into the glass.
  4. Top with Sparkling Pink Moscato or another sweet sparkling wine of your choice.
  5. Garnish with three grapes skewered on a cocktail pick.
