My dad taught me how to drive. My first lesson I didn’t even move because he wanted me to understand all the gauges, lights, switches, pedals, and mirrors. Dad was patient with me, and never freaked out when I stepped on the brake too hard or got too close to the car in front of me. The only time he raised his voice a bit was when I forgot to use my blinker to signal when I was turning. He said that if I didn’t let other drivers know where I was going then any accident was my fault. Thanks to Dad, I aced my driving test on the first try. Years later while a passenger in Dad’s car, I noticed he wasn’t using his blinkers at all. When I pointed this out, he said “No one needs to know where I’m goin. As long as I know, that’s alright.” Dad logic at its finest. Cheers!
