The Elevated Craft Team
This week we bring you a sophisticated and flavorful cocktail that combines the richness of Cognac with the sweetness of blackberries and tawny port. The addition of Creme de Cassis, lemon juice, and Creme de Cacao provides a perfect balance of flavors, while the optional Noir Bitters add a subtle depth to the drink.
The Port of Marseille is a sophisticated and indulgent treat for the senses, perfect for a special occasion or an intimate evening at home.

Muddling 101
Muddling fruit in a shaker is notorious for clogging the strainer. If you want to pour through the built-in strainer, we recommend shaking a bit lighter to keep your ice intact and rocking your shaker from 45 degrees back to upright between pours.
Another little-known pro tip is that the tumbler on your Elevated Craft Hybrid Shaker works with a Hawthorne Strainer and a Julep Strainer. When using one of these strainers, always twist the small lid of the shaker to relieve the pressure inside before twisting off the measuring top. If you do not twist the small lid first, you will be fighting a vacuum inside the shaker, and the measuring top will be hard to remove.
