Add a barspoon of Islay Scotch to the cocktail for a full peaty Celtic experience. Also, if you like a Whiskey Sour - add egg white to your Gold Rush to give it a wonderful foam that would look great with the edible gold dust on top.
For a more decorative presentation, you can cut the citrus wedge and then carefully fold back the peel to the center of the wedge. Make a few small cuts on the peel, fan it out, and keep it in place with a cocktail pick. Gently roll the lemon wedge in the edible gold dust.
