Bobsled

Looking for a cocktail that strays from the usual path? The Bobsled is a bold, tropical-meets-bitter sipper that delivers complexity in a deceptively easy package. This modern favorite bridges the gap between tiki and amaro, pairing funky Jamaican rum with sweet pineapple juice and the unmistakable bite of Fernet-Branca.

 

Often described as a spiced pineapple Daiquiri or a “Branca Bird” riff, the Bobsled plays with contrast in all the right ways. The juicy pineapple softens Fernet’s cooling bitterness, while the rich notes of Jamaican rum hold their own against its herbal edge. Simple syrup rounds it out for balance, and the result is refreshing, layered, and just different enough to shake up your rotation.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Jamaican Rum (We used Smith & Cross)
  • 1 oz. Fernet Branca
  • 2 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz. Simple Syrup
  • Garnish: Pineapple + Pineapple Frond

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients into your Hybrid Cocktail Shaker with ice and shake for 15-20 seconds.
  2. Strain into your Hybrid Cocktail Glass filled with ice.
  3. Garnish with pineapple and pineapple frond.
