If you’re new to or unsure about Fernet Branca, don’t let it scare you. You can taste its presence, yet it isn’t overwhelming to the cocktail as the Jamaican rum stands up to its flavors, offering you a gateway to further exploration behind the bar.

1 oz. Jamaican Rum (We used Smith & Cross)
1 oz. Fernet Branca
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup
Pineapple & Pineapple Frond (for garnish)
Add all ingredients into your Hybrid Cocktail Shaker with ice and shake.
Strain into your Hybrid Cocktail Glass filled with ice.
Garnish with pineapple and pineapple frond.
We recommend using a Jamaican rum in this cocktail as the funkiness of these types of rums stands up to the Fernet Branca and offers a truly unique flavor profile. Smith & Cross, Rumbar Overproof and Plantation 3 Stars are all good options with various levels of hogo, aka "funkiness."
