Created by New York bartender Jeremy Oertel, the Brancolada is a unique, minty riff on the classic Piña Colada. You’ve likely heard of Fernet-Branca – an Italian amaro – and either love it or hate it. Wherever your opinion stands, you shouldn't write off Brancamenta, enriched with Piedmontese peppermint. It has quickly found its place in our bar.
Today’s Brancolada recipe is from Steve the Bartender’s Cocktail Guide. You’ll notice the fresh mint flavor and herbal complexity of Brancamenta with the first sip, which is complemented by creamy, tropical notes of pineapple, coconut and rum. It’s great for a hot summer day, but we can see ourselves enjoying this modern classic all season.
