Want to elevate your basic champagne toast for New Year’s Eve? In this week's Friday Buzz email, we present to you a Champagne Julep. Spike your bubbly with a bit of brandy and mint or experiment with your own variation. Champagne based cocktails are simple and a lot of fun.

Ingredients

  • 4-6 oz. Chilled champagne or other sparkling wine
  • ½ oz. Brandy
  • ½ oz. Rosemary mint simple syrup
  • 10-12 fresh mint leaves
  • Crushed ice (Optional)
  • Rosemary sprig for garnish

Directions

  1. Build this directly in your Hybrid Cocktail Glass!
  2. Add the mint leaves and simple syrup to the HCG glass.
  3. Muddle the mint into the syrup.
  4. Add the brandy and the crushed ice.
  5. Top with champagne.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
