Cocktails
The Cloister originated in 1971 where it was first featured in the Playboy Bartender’s Guide. Gin is combined with Yellow Chartreuse, a honeyed herbal liqueur, and a flavorful combination of citrus. Jim Meehan adapted the recipe and included it in his PDT Cocktail Book in 2011.
Its monastic name is a nod to its inclusion of Yellow Chartreuse, the complex herbal liqueur produced by the Carthusian monks of southeastern France.
Steve, one of our favorite bartenders, published his own cocktail book! The book contains delicious and easy-to-make cocktails, perfect for any occasion. Whether a beginner or a seasoned pro, you'll find something to love in this book. So what are you waiting for? Order your copy here!
