Today we’re thrilled to celebrate one of the bar scene's all-time favorites: the Dirty Martini. And to help you whip up this classic, we’ve just launched our sleekest and most premium product to date: the Elevated Craft Diamond Edition Hybrid Cocktail Shaker.
Though it feels modern, the Dirty Martini has roots dating back to around 1901. Legend has it that John E. O'Connor, a bartender at the Waldorf Astoria, transformed the classic Dry Martini by muddling olives, creating a delicious game-changer. And let’s not forget FDR, who famously served them to White House guests.
In this cocktail, the olive brine is more than just flavor – it enhances the sweet and savory notes of vermouth while softening any bitterness. For an elevated experience, try using fresh vermouth and artisan olive juice. And remember: olives should be served in odd numbers—one or three—because who needs bad luck?

Ingredients:
-
2 ½ oz. London Dry Gin (or Vodka if preferred)
-
½ oz. Dolin Dry Vermouth
-
½ oz. Olive Brine
-
Garnish with three stuffed olives
Directions:
Add gin, dry vermouth and olive brine to your Hybrid Cocktail Shaker filled with ice.
Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.
Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a cocktail pick of skewered stuffed olives of your choice (even better if they're homemade!).
Notes:
A Dirty Martini can be shaken or stirred. Many bartenders choose to shake it so the olive brine mixes better with the spirits, making the drink less salty and enhancing its flavors. We shake it because we make cocktail shakers and it gives James Bond vibes, which we're into.
