An exceptional but somewhat forgotten tiki classic! From Don The Beachcomber, ca. 1937. Unique in its use of blackberry liqueur - Real Grenadine and demerara sugar bring a rich dose of fruitiness. Break out the premium rums here folks!
1 oz. Aged rum (Plantation 5 year recommended)
½ oz. Light rum (Plantation 3 Stars recommended)
½ oz. Hamilton 86 demerara rum
½ oz. Blackberry liqueur
¼ oz. Demerara Gum Syrup
1 barspoon Real Grenadine
¾ oz. Fresh lime juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Add all ingredients to your Hybrid Cocktail Shaker.
Add ice and shake hard for 10 seconds.
Stain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Garnish with grated nutmeg and fresh blackberries.
