Lost Lake

This was the signature cocktail from Lost Lake, a beloved tropical bar in Chicago that unfortunately had to shut its doors for good in early 2022. During its existence, the bar made it on a few top-50/100 bars in the world lists.


The Lost Lake is a riff on a Jungle Bird that was created in the 70's at the Aviary Bar of the Kulala Lumpur Hilton.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Plantation Xaymaca Rum
  • ¾ oz. Lime Juice
  • ¾ oz. Passion Fruit Syrup
  • ½ oz. Pineapple Juice
  • ¼ oz. Maraschino Liqueur
  • ¼ oz. Campari

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients into your Hybrid Cocktail Shaker with ice and shake.
  2. Pour into your Hybrid Cocktail Glass and top with more ice.
  3. Garnish tropically! (Steve used a pineapple slice, orange twist, pineapple frond and orchid)
