Pimm's is a gin-based liqueur created by James Pimm, a farmer's son who owned an oyster bar in 19th-century London. The original recipe is still a secret today, but it is known to contain gin, quinine, and a spice blend. Pimm served his drink in a tankard that he called a "No. 1 Cup," hence the cocktail’s name.
As with any great creation, this drink has inspired countless variations worldwide. One notably celebrated version comes from the famed Napoleon House in New Orleans. Their unique spin adds Lemonade, Lemon-lime soda, and a refreshing Cucumber Garnish to the classic Pimm's No.1. This tangy twist has become a signature refreshment in the vibrant French Quarter.
But the Pimm's Cup doesn't stop at the Big Easy; it also graces the courts of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London, making it a well-loved international phenomenon.
Just as Pimm used his "No.1 Cup," let the Elevated Craft Hybrid Glass be your vessel to explore and enjoy these variations of the historic Pimm's Cup cocktail.
