Cherry Cosmo

The Cosmopolitan has come a long way since its heyday. Born from earlier vodka-cranberry drinks and refined into its modern form in the late ’80s, the Cosmo became a cultural icon thanks to its bold pink hue, citrusy snap, and undeniable confidence. Love it or roll your eyes at it, there’s no denying its place in cocktail history.

The Cherry Cosmo gives this classic a deeper, fruit-forward update. Tart cherry juice steps in for cranberry, adding richness and a slightly darker edge that plays beautifully with bright citrus and orange liqueur. The result is still crisp and refreshing, but with more complexity and a touch of drama. Served up with a simple cherry garnish, it’s familiar yet elevated and proof that even the most iconic cocktails can evolve while keeping their charm intact.
